We thought we should share these lovely pics of a recent curtains and blinds project we did for customers in W14.
Curtains and blinds W14 – contemporary flat with large windows
For the open plan living area with the large floor to ceiling windows, we used Layla. Layla is a textured stable voile fabric with a linen look. The shade is Layla White. In this type of situation, we find that voile fabric can work really well. It still lets in lots of light, which is further accentuated by the choice of the white shade. At the same time, this voile has sufficient body and texture to hide (or block out) the ongoing building site outside the apartment. As Layla is a stable fabric, it gives an accurate finish to the curtains with very little movement. This is a single right hand curtain totalling 13 widths. It was chosen by the client to be able to clear the doors and terrace and to enable them to stack the curtains completely on the right where the view through the window was less important.

Curtains and Blinds Holland Park – minimal loss of light with voile curtains
For both the master bedroom and the study / 2nd bedroom, we again used a voile in combination with curtains for extra daytime privacy. In this case we used Voile Plain, which is an ultra-sheer and very fine, light voile. The curtains in the master bedroom are Luxor, which is a linen mix woven fabric with a marbled two-tone effect. The shade is Luxor Pebble. For the curtains in the study, the fabric is Anais Shingle. In both rooms, these fabrics provide some texture and soft tonal shades to complement these big windows.

To hang the curtains, Wave tracks were chosen throughout the flat on the one hand in order to give smart clean and contemporary look. On the other hand, the Wave heading adds a touch of softness in the otherwise sharp lines of the rest of the decor.
