What are bottom up blinds?
Bottom up blinds are also called pull up blinds, or upside down blinds or reverse blinds.
They are installed at the bottom of your window and are pulled up by cords each side of the blind; the cords run through two pulleys fitted at the top of the window frame and the cords are secured on a cleat at the side of the window. The roller blind has a spring roll mechanism in the tube which keeps the fabric tensioned.
Advantages of pull up blinds
The blind preserves your privacy from the world outside but at the same time allows the maximum amount of natural light from the top part of the window.
You can pull the blind up to any level in the window depending on how much privacy / light you want.

Which fabrics can you use?
The good news is that any of our roller blind fabrics can be used; here are some useful tips:
- Voile fabrics are best when you want to maximise the amount of light in the room but it may not give you sufficient privacy at night.
- Dimout fabrics will give you privacy at night while maximising the amount of light in your room.
- Blackout fabrics work well for bedrooms: during the day you can lower the blind to half way down the window to allow the light in but keep the bottom half of the window covered. At night you can raise the blind to the top of the window and you will then have a fully functioning blackout blind..
