If you have bifold doors, French windows or any lager glazed area, consider using voile curtains to soften the look and provide privacy or shade without compromising the flow of natural light into the room. You will find that voile curtains work very well in these situations, particularly in a large open family living area or kitchen space.
Bifold Doors: In many of our recent London projects involving bifold doors or large glazed areas, we have used voiles to great effect. Pictured here are made to measure curtains using Elise Natural (from our voile range). The curtains are unlined so as not to block the light with an inverted pleat heading and hung on a track behind coving.
Voiles for French windows or patio doors opening on to a garden: In this case, we suggested voile curtains and used Elise Stone, once again unlined. The heading is twin pleat and the curtains are hung on a bronze wrought Iron pole. For the side window, we made matching roller blinds using our Elise Stone voile, laminated for ease of use as a roller blind.
