Finishing Touches to a West London Home Project

Content with the curtains we had previously provided this time the project brief was to dress the patio doors leading to the garden with the Marianne linen curtain in a single pleat heading breaking softly on the floor. The space can be used for overnight guests so blackout roller blinds were included as a discreet option to limit the daylight. Lining Marianne would add weight and alter its movement, keeping the curtains unlined respects the natural airiness of the space and avoid extra bulk when the curtains are open.

The challenge in this design was to offer a contemporary solution for a curved wall in a way which would complement the architecture and use of the room. We choose a track hanging system which can be bent on-site to a gradual curve so as to follow the lines of the room more naturally. The curtains are hooked to hide the track creating great vertical lines that give a sense of height. For a clean, no fuss, finish we opted for a large single pair of curtains rather than a pair per door and extended the track either side of the exterior doors to maximise natural light in the lower ground room.
