Our London Projects: Curtains with an Informal Wave, London N1
We would like to share these images from one of our recent made to measure curtain projects in London N1 (Islington).
For the living room, we used voile curtains in Matira White with an informal wave heading, hung on black wrought iron poles.
For the bedroom, we used Whitby Clay (which is a Ticking in natural colour), also with an informal wave heading and hung on a wrought iron pole. Whitby Clay is woven in the UK. It is a beautiful herringbone ticking which makes up superbly as both curtains and blinds.
An informal wave is created by using the Silent Gliss Wave tape but not the Silent Gliss track (which is expensive). The result of using this technique to create an informal wave is a more contemporary look that is easily manageable and suited to larger curtains yet less expensive than investing in a Silent Gliss track.
