We are delighted to have been able to help our client who lives in Putney SW15. She had wide sliding doors installed for more than one year before finding Prêt à Vivre at the Spirit of Christmas fair.

Finding curtains for bifold doors is not always easy as specific criteria need to be met. In this case, she and her husband felt they needed some kind of window treatment, as the room wasn’t cosy enough in winter having no suitable covering for the big dark glass wall at night. However, they have young children that constantly run in and out of the room into the garden in spring and summer so they were reluctant to have curtains that would in any way restrict movement between inside and outside. Additionally, they wanted to be able to freely use all the wall space on the right side to enable hassle-free access to the door handle for absolute ease of opening and closing.

We advised pole-hung informal wave curtains in 100% cotton fabric Lugano. We advised colours of Oatmeal with a Charcoal inset. The pole is a Distinction 28 in Hammered Steel. This type of pole has an integrated track and does not have rings so it gives a clean, contemporary look and is ideal for wide windows such as those that come with bifold doors.
