Enquiry Received
The first time you get in touch with Prêt à Vivre may be a quick peek into one of our showrooms, or perhaps a friend recommended us, and now you’re calling or emailing to know more, either way, we’re here to help.
Initial Design Advice
Either come in at your convenience or if you cannot visit in person book a video consultation direct from the showroom. Your designer will discuss your requirements with you, introduce you to our range of fabrics, curtains, blinds and hanging systems. The full range of fabrics, different styles of curtains and blinds are on display in our showrooms to help you visualise your chosen window treatment. Alternatively you can also see them on our website where you can order samples of your favourite fabrics.
You will work with the same designer from start to finish and will be provided an initial quote based on the rough measure and images you sent.
Finding Your Fabrics
We have a huge range of fabrics to choose from and offer you as many free fabric samples as you need to make your choice. All our samples are available from our showrooms which you can pick up in person, or we can post a selection out to you after your video consultation. We can also send you large offcuts of many of our fabrics you like, to try out at home. This service will require a small deposit.
Measure Appointment
To finalise your quote we can organise a measure visit with one of our experienced fitters. The measure fee starts at £75 and is refundable against an order over £750 excluding fitting. The fitter will provide all measurements and specific technical advice directly to your designer.
Final Design – Final Quote
Further consultation with the same designer by email, over the phone or in the showroom to confirm choices and specifications. Your designer will send your revised quote detailing each product, your chosen options and – in most cases – where the product is fitted and how it is to look.
Order Confirmation
Once you’re happy with your final quote it will be checked in-house and converted to an order.
Review & Approval
This is your chance to fully review the choices you have made, ask any questions and clarify any points of your order. Once we receive your written approval and 50% deposit, we will process your order.
Production
All of Prêt à Vivre’s made products are crafted right here in the UK.
In our Nottinghamshire Head Office we house two workrooms. One is solely dedicated to the production of all our own roller blinds, both chain-operated and automated, on our 4 metre x 4 metre roller blind table. The second is where our hardware team lovingly craft and sew our pelmets and lath & fascia in-house; though the larger items will be transported in sections for assembly in your home.
All roman blinds, curtains and cushions are sewn locally, drawing on generations of textile expertise, before returning to our Head Office for review.
Quality Control
Your order returns to our Head Office in Shelton where it undergoes a final check to confirm the measurements and quality of the finished product.
Our diary manager will be in touch to schedule a fitting appointment.
Installation
Once a week our Head Office sends orders to our London Fittings Department where they are held until the day of your installation.
Our typical turn around times from order processing to fitting are approximately 3 weeks for roller blinds and 4-6 weeks for roman blinds and curtains. Your designer will inform you of any changes to this timescale.
On the day we come to install your order our Fitting Team will work with you to ensure minimal disruption and mess to your home.
Upon completion our fitter will do a final review with you and explain how best to operate our curtains and blinds, making sure that you are happy with products and fitting.
