There are many options available for bay poles:
- 19mm Wrought iron poles with rings.
This can be provided as a single pole or as a double so you can layer a sheer at the window too. Extension brackets are also available should you need to clear a radiator.
Heading Style: Triple Pleat, Twin Pleat, Inverted Pleat.
NB: The curtain must sit under the pole to allow the C rings to pass over the brackets smoothly.
- Corded Poles without rings: This gives a more contemporary look and again can be supplied asa single or double pole. These poles can be supplied corded or uncorded and can have up to 6 bends; they can be supplied with reverse bends and as a continuous curve. Extension brackets are available to clear radiators.
Heading Style: Triple Pleat, Twin Pleat, Inverted Pleat, Surf (same as Wave heading)
NB: Bay Poles do not require a first fix to take template; accurate measures can be taken on initial measure visit; this is the most cost effective hanging system for bay windows.
Wooden Poles: You can find wooden bay poles on the market but many have metal elbows in the corner and as a result the rings do not pass easily. We do not offer wooden bay poles for this reason.
Top Tip
Tape headed curtains e.g. Pencil or Gathered heading are only advised for Voile curtains in bay windows as they will not stack back neatly at each side. Informal Wave is not advised as curtain is too wide to dress the curtain properly after each use.
